The park is associated with Perućica, Maglić and the landscapes of Zelengora. The tourism overview identifies protected nature and the Tjentište area; it does not mean that every part of the forest is open to independent walking. [1]
Our suggested visit
For a first introduction, we suggest obtaining local guidance before selecting an authorised route. A visit around Tjentište and a summit hike are not interchangeable. Keep remembrance visits separate from recreational activities and respect the quiet character of those places.
Access and pace
For Perućica, ask the operator about permissions and guiding requirements. For hikes, verify ascent, signs, weather and equipment with a competent local contact. A GPS track or a published itinerary does not guarantee access or safe conditions.
Accommodation and getting around
Choose accommodation after identifying the actual starting point. Foča can be a separate preparation stop but does not automatically replace a base near your hike. Check the return journey, road conditions and available services before committing.
