We suggest starting in the centre and park, then choosing one outlying visit to match your interests. For a cultural visit, confirm visitor arrangements at Tavna; for a leisure venue, check which facilities are open and their separate charges.
Access and pace
With children, allow a break and do not promise a pool or activity based on an old photograph. A monastery visit follows the site’s rules on dress, photography and access. Different venues may keep different opening times.
Accommodation and getting around
Central accommodation may suit a town stop, while an outlying address may fit your chosen outing. Check the real location, parking and your return transport. Do not compare the room price without considering the extra journeys it creates.
